The party at the park was a huge success. The kids thoroughly enjoyed being able to run around and play rather than be constrained by some maniac mother's idea of fun which might just have involved a donkey and a tail. It was very liberating to haul a feast over to a wide open space with water and a play structure and to not have to worry about cleaning up before and afterwards too. I am not going to lie-- it was a lot of work and I, like all events that I plan, suffered some disappointments. But you know what, it doesn't matter because my beauty was so excited about his birthday and loved every minute of his big day.
