We've been planning to visit Papanack Zoo East of the city for a few months but the zoo only opened at 10 am and we didn't know how to manage nap time and a visit. However, we bit the bullet and threw caution to the wind, pushing nap time until early afternoon in the car (or so we had hoped) this week. The zoo is tiny and set up for tiny kids which was great. Had we known what to expect, we would have packed a picnic because there was plenty of open space for a nice relaxing lunch on the grass. Instead, we bought pizza, fries and a burger. A nice healthy lunch for our growing boy.

Both kids loved it. And so did we. However, we did not enjoy the drive home. Rowan refused to nap and poor Bronson was rudely awoken by his brother who thought it was absolutely hysterical to scream at the top of his lungs every time Bronson's eye lids shut. We had to take the bubba and Pinky away to show Rowan how serious we were. I have never seen John that angry with his son. I wanted to cry and laugh the entire time.

I'll post pictures of the animals later. They're on John's camera for now.
